Hi! I’m Anna, a full-time student and creative thinker based in Iran. When I’m not studying you can find me submerged in the world of books and art. I love to convey the magic my mind sees onto canvas, paper, or eternalize it through photography.

About Me

I was born in Iran where I’m currently attending a NODET (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) school in my city. Education has been a very important part of my life; not just the academic side of it, I’ve always loved learning new things – playing the piano, learning how to master the guitar, swimming class, screenwriting course, improving my digital illustrating skills,…

One of my passions is learning how to speak different languages – not just for the sake of knowing them, but also because they expand one’s horizon and understanding of cultures.

My Skills

I’m fluent in Persian and English; I have proficiency in listening and reading Arabic as part of my school curriculum; I improved my French with a summer course; and have taken on Turkish, German, and Spanish on my own.

My Vision

Where do I see myself in 5 years? Working hard towards achieving the academic holy grail, a Ph.D., while adding to the string of cultural experience by traveling as much as possible.

My Goals

My goals for the future are also to finish the book I started writing a few weeks ago, a romance novel in Persian, and the script I’ve been playing around with, a psychological drama I had started working on during the screenwriting course in 2021.

This piece was inspired by a quote: “People never die, they become - they go to a song in your playlist.” There’s always a deep sadness when we lose a loved one, but listening to songs that remind us of them is how we keep the memories alive. Technique: Acrylic paint on canvas

The Madness of Marilyn’s Eyes

The Madness of Marilyn’s Eyes is my first attempt at writing a script as a part of a course I had been taking in 2021. It’s a psychological thriller about a girl who loses everything and everyone, and looks for recompensation for the pain she’s been through - in one way or the other.

The Dark Man is a romance novel I have started writing back in 2019. The original is in Persian but I’ve been trying to translate it into English little by little. The story is set in the 1950s England where a man named Cris is trying to recover his family’s fortune and power. This chapter in particular is about the forbidden romance between his stepbrother and the sister of his arch-nemesis.

THE FACES OF ONE‏

This came to be after I read the Japanese proverb about the man having three faces: one for the world, one for the family, and one no one ever sees. I feel it has a powerful meaning as we do have many layers, and there is always more than meets the eye. Technique: Watercolor on paper

A BOUQUET FOR MOM

This is the second oil painting I have made. I painted this for my mom’s birthday and it was inspired by a painting my mom has always admired. Technique: Oil paint on canvas

This was my first time trying to create nude art - I had some lipstick that was left over which inspired me to give my curiosity a go. Technique: Lipstick on paper

The image represents the human soul and the experience that makes you feel sad but at the same time it makes you stronger. The moments when we are injured are the moments we blossom again from the peak of pain. Technique: Oil paint on canvas

Let Yourself Be Mine

Let Yourself Be Mine - December 2019 I wrote this poem on a day that felt filled with boredom. I got this idea of a character and the feelings brewing inside them so I wrote a poem from the perspective of this character.

Hiding grief by holding back the tears doesn’t work long-term, eventually the tears start flowing and they’re difficult to stop. I have found sadness to be a source of inspiration, or even therapy to feel better. Technique: Lipstick, eyeliner on canvas.
